Dr. Brandon Reid, MD
PHYSICIAN

Dr. Brandon Reid was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, where his passion for science and medicine first began. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Guelph before completing his Doctor of Medicine at Ross University School of Medicine.

Following medical school, Dr. Reid completed a General Surgery internship at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He then went on to complete his Family Medicine residency at the Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency Program in Salina, Kansas. His broad clinical training fostered a strong interest in acute hospital care, intensive care medicine, procedural medicine, emergency medicine, and sports and wilderness medicine.

Dr. Reid brings a comprehensive, hands-on approach to hospital medicine, emphasizing evidence-based practice, procedural excellence, and patient-centered care. As a Clinical Preceptor for both the Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency Program and the Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine, he is committed to mentoring and guiding future physicians through practical, real-world clinical education.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Reid enjoys spending time outdoors—particularly in the mountains—where he and his significant other, Abbie, an Assistant Professor of Animal Behavior and Welfare at Kansas State University, enjoy running, hiking, and exploring nature together.
